How many of you have sweet memories of long talks with your grandparent? Have you ever thought that these sweet moments aren’t only nice but also healthy both for grandparent and grandkids?
Beautiful World shares with you the scientific studies proving that hugs and kisses with grandchildren affects the wellbeing of grandparents.
If you didn’t start considering to have babies, but your parents continue asking, then you should definitely think about that. According to the scientists, grandparents with caregiving responsibilities live longer than those of the same age who don’t care for the grandkids.
More than 500 people who are 70+ participated on the studies. They were tasted every 2 years during the 19 years of studies.
The result was shocking!
Those who had caring responsibilities lived 5 years longer than those who didn’t. Scientists says that explanation stays deep in our past. Possibly, the reason is that taking care for children was essential for human species survival.
However, the researches show not only a positive impact on grandparents but also on kids. Kids who spend more time with their grandparents are calmer and have less emotional problems.
